Would somone be able to tell me what motor  this fits  and is it for a 4 speed or 3 speed .....Regards John

I think that's for the earlier models (Magneto ign) - here's a 1950 D1 for comparison:

Hi John, 

 

Confirmed, it is from a 3 speed engine.  My hunch is that it is from an earlier model - D1 or D3 or maybe early D7.

this is the bantam d7  it came off  .Also the large spring flew off and bent the clutch springs   .New ones orded  .My fault not checking to see that it was seated propley All aroung its housing before the last plate and screws inserted ......john2003_01140003.JPG2003_01140004.JPG2003_01140005.JPG
