Hi all,

Hope this is the right place to post this question.

I have now received my registration document from DVLA ( many thanks to Steve Walsh for his help )

I am now looking for a set of road legal number plates, could anyone advise where to get these as all I can seem to find on EBay are show ones.

Many thanks

Many on eBay are listed as show plates so that you don't have to show a V5 or identity to get them, but they are road legal plates. They will state in the details if they are road legal or not. Companies like Halfords will make you a plate up if you prefer

Current bikes......1958 D5, a 75 Honda CD175, a 79 Honda NC50 Express (wife's), a 67 Raleigh Runabout and a 80 Puch Maxi, and a 77 Suzuki GT250 being rebuilt. I have a 74 Kawasaki KH400 in the queue, along with a 78 Honda CB125S and a 1980 Honda CB400N.  I currently ride a 1982 Kawasaki Z250.

you can either go for the traditional black and silver/white pressed plate
[Permission to view this media is denied]
or make you own with a black plate and stick on numbers/letters
which If I remember correctly should be 64mm in height for a motorcycle

I've just done my number plates today on the d3 swinger. Two sets for the front blade and one set for the rear £5.50  for the lot, from an online company called ding dong.

They do white, silver or black.as you can see i ordered white, rear numbers are 64mm (road legal) front one's are 44mm and both fonts are called mandatory script.Delivered in two day, free postage....

I’ve recently been quoted for having my plates signwritten. £30 a go, or £5 a digit if you prefer. Not bad I didn’t think, considering the time and workmanship involved.
