Hi there.

Not used to forums but here goes.

I am approaching retirement and needed a project so decided to do something with my Bantam D7.

The bike had been in a shed that court fire and was going to be scrapped, so I gave it a new home.

stripped it down to a box of bits and there it has stayed for the past 20 odd years. so time to do something with it besides keep moving it around my garage.

Had the frame blasted and sprayed and fitted new swinging arm bushes. now trying to design a simple gadget to press the pin through the arm and frame. if a cant manage myself will have to find a friendly garage / workshop with a press.

will check the forum to see if other members have overcome this obstacle.

Bye Bye for now

Bram

Hello and welcome to the forum. Where snouts are you?

As personal choice I use google to search the forum. Insert your search needs followed by  site:bsa bantam club.com.  Therefore your search in google may be.  “Swing arm pin site:bsabantamclub.com”  without the quotes

hope you understand good luck

Bram

Welcome to the forum

If you have fitted new bushes to the S/A they need to be reamed so the pin fits, it should be a sliding fit through the S/A and frame
Ideally should be done with a line reamer so bushes are absolutely parallel to each other but if you are careful can be done with an expanding reamer.
