please can somebody involved in the organisation of the rally tell me whether the camping will be available on the Thursday and Sunday evenings and if it's possible to have a contact number - just in case of emergency en route ?

There is very little information about the rally, what is going on, don't they want any one to go ?

I have asked a question and not got an answer thinking_gif

Ray Leggett is the man to answer your questions, he is the West Sussex area rep and he has organised the National rally this year. I don't think he uses the internet much, but his telephone number is in the Banter. Give him a ring, I'm sure he will be able to answer your questions.

Current bikes......1958 D5, and a 77 Suzuki GT250 being rebuilt. I have a 74 Kawasaki KH400 in the queue, along with a 58 Tiger Cub and a 1980 Honda CB400N. A 1978 Honda CB125S on the road and  I currently ride a 2011 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster

The ** Please log in to view ** states that the site will be available 'From midday Thursday 7th July to Sunday 10th July' so I take that to mean that camping is definitely available Thurs, Fri and Sat.

Ray will be on site all of that time, he will be the one to ask if Sunday camping is available too.

I'm not a complete idiot ............................................ some parts are missing.

And thank you, for some lovely pics, for those of us that didn't go.

Four now on the road and at least several in bits.

Yes, I'll second that. Well done to Ray & all the west Sussex organisers. Had a great weekend including a trip to the pub last night on a trailer being towed behind a traction engine. No seat belts or health and safety here!

I only live about 6 miles from Wiston but when I left this afternoon my D14 would not run above a high tickover without bogging down& the journey took me 25 minutes.

Found a sooty plug & 2 thou points gap when I got home. Set to 12 thou & still running rubbish. Was going great yesterday afternoon & a chap is coming to buy it tomorrow too.

He probably won't want it now so maybe this is a blessing in disguise.!

Hope everyone got or gets home safely. [Permission to view this image is denied]

Myself and the West Sussex team would like to thank all those members who came to the rally and made it a really good weekend, the organisers of the Steam Rally were very impressed with your bikes and the display of 82 Bantams.

I would like to thank all who helped in organising and helping and to the cake suppliers.

Next years rally is being looked after by the S.Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area, please give them the same support as you did us.
