BSA paint codes, no cross reference to any other present day Paint manufacture exits
BSA paint codes [Permission to view this media is denied]

your best chance of a near match is to take an existing painted part to a supplier and get them to match it

RS Paints can supposedly supply matched paint to the original colour, but at a price !
they also do small touch-up paint in 25ml that you could use as a colour match guide for a paint supplier or Power-coating / Painter

below is list of alternative colours people have said they have used and I have found from a google search, rolleyes

Thanks Mike,

What an amazing variation in colours when you look at the different shades from different references.

Regards,

Graham.

D1 Renovation; had it for 50 years and thought I ought to start :)

However, as I thought it might take a while, bought a B40 to ride.

There are no official RAL codes for Bantam colours, they were painted well before RAL codes. The ones given by Mike above are closest matches. The official red for a 65 Bantam is Ruby red

Current bikes......1958 D5, and a 77 Suzuki GT250 being MOT'd. I have a 74 Kawasaki KH400 in the queue, along with a 58 Tiger Cub.A 1980 Honda CB400N in the workshop and almost ready. A 1978 Honda CB125S on the road and  I currently ride a 2011 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster. I might have just bought another Bantam...….

I will also just mention that 'Frequently asked questions' is not actually for asking them! I suppose the title should read 'Answers to FAQs' and maybe locked to new posts, other than by admin?

That sounds like a good idea. Then you can add more in here as you feel necessary.
